Teenager charged with murder of Sheffield dad to appear in court

A teenager charged with the murder of Sheffield father Marcus Ramsay will appear in court today, Friday, August 28.

In the early hours of Saturday, August 8, police responded to reports of large scale disorder in Horninglow Road, Firth Park.

While at the scene officers were alerted to a critically injured man. Mr Ramsay, 35, was taken to hospital but sadly died shortly after he arrived. A post-mortem examination concluded that he died as a result of a stab wound.

The teenager, who cannot be named for legal reasons, was charged with murder yesterday evening, Thursday, August 27, after being arrested on Wednesday. He has been remanded to appear before Sheffield Magistrates later today.
