Teenager charged and is due in court in connection with two Rotherham stabbings

The 16-year-old has been charged with two counts of Section 18 wounding with intent and will appear at Sheffield magistrates’ court tomorrow, Monday.Police were called at around 4.50pm on Wednesday (July 7) to reports that a man had been stabbed in Rotherham High Street.A 30-year-old man was taken to hospital via ambulance after suffering serious stab wounds. He remains in hospital in a serious condition, say South Yorkshire Police.Police were again called at around 11.15am on Thursday to reports that a second man had been stabbed in Spring Walk.This time a 39-year-old man was taken to hospital after suffering stab wounds. He also remains in hospital in a serious condition.
Officers have made three arrests in total in connection to these incidents. A second 16-year-old and a 17-year-old have been bailed pending further inquiries.Detective Inspector Lee Wilson said: “We understand that these incidents will have caused a great deal of concern for the local community.
