Two teenage boys are seriously ill in hospital after taking a mystery drug on a night out in Sheffield.

Police said the boys, aged 16 and 17, each took a small green pill at an event in Attercliffe last night.

Officers said they were later taken to the Northern General Hospital this morning after ‘displaying aggressive behaviour’.

A 17-year-old has been arrested on suspicion of supplying the drugs and is in police custody.

South Yorkshire Police are warning people not to take the unknown green pills, which are paracetamol size, and to seek urgent medical attention if already consumed.

Anyone with information about the pills should call South Yorkshire Police on 101, quoting incident number 290 of May 25.
