'Teenage boy' hospitalised after being hit by car in Kimberworth

A person witnesses describe as a ‘teenage boy’ was teken to hospital after he was hit by a car on Wortley Road in Kimberworth.

The car collided with the pedestrian at around 3.21pm this afternoon (January 15).

The incident took place outside the Esso garage, near to the roundabout connecting to Fenton Road.

Yorkshire Ambulance Service was called to the scene and sent a rapid response vehicle and one ambulance crew.

The injured person was taken by ambulance to Rotherham General Hospital.
