Teenage boy has bike stolen

Police are searching for a teenage boy’s stunt scooter after it was stolen from outside a shop.

The 14-year-old left the bike outside Raj News on Baden Powell Road, Boythorpe, Chesterfield, while he popped into the shop.

But, when the teenager came back out, it had vanished.

Police said the scooter was purple with white wheels and a purple core.

PCSO Zoe Blount, of the Holmebrook and Rother Safer Neighbourhood Policing Team, is investigating the theft.

She said: “If anyone has any information about this incident, or if they saw anything suspicious, please contact us.

“We would also like to remind youngsters to be a bit wary, and not to leave bikes, scooters or skateboards unattended and insecure.

“Lock them up if you have to leave them, as it can take only a few minutes for them to be stolen.”
