Teenage boy attacked by ‘cage fighter’ in Rotherham

Police are searching for a man who attacked a teenage boy with Asperger’s Syndrome.

The 17-year-old victim was a assaulted in the Ukraine Club, Barley Croft Lane, Dinnington, after he started talking to three men near to the pool table.

He told police officers that the man who hit him claimed to be a cage fighter.

The thug was white, thin, between 25 and 30 years old and with gingery-blond spiked hair and wore a T-shirt.

He punched the teenager three or four times in what police are treating as an ‘unprovoked attack’.

A South Yorkshire Police spokeswoman said: “Police are appealing for witnesses after a teenager with Asperger’s Syndrome was assaulted in a club in Dinnington.

“At around 12.30am on Sunday, May 11 , the 17-year-old entered the Ukraine Club and began talking to three men near the pool table.

“The victim was knocked to the ground and suffered facial injuries. He reported that the man who hit him claimed he was a cage fighter.”
