Teen requires ‘ongoing treatment’ after Sheffield shooting as four men released over attack

Four men arrested as part of an investigation into a shooting in Sheffield have been released after police questioning.

One man was arrested at a flat in the Kelham Gate development in Kelham Island and three others were arrested at a property on Preston Street, Sharrow, as part of a probe into a shooting on Queens Road, Heeley, in which an 18-year-old man was seriously injured on Thursday, March 18.

The 19-year-old arrested in the Kelham Island raid yesterday morning was held on suspicion of attempted murder and drug offences.

He was recalled to prison until June 2022 after questioning.

A 48-year-old man arrested in Sharrow on suspicion of the same offences was bailed after questioning.

Two other men, aged 28 and 45, who were also arrested in Sharrow, were released after questioning after being held on suspicion of drug offences.

The man injured in the shooting suffered a number of injuries and will require ongoing treatment.
