Teen arrested over Sheffield murder spends second day in police custody

A teenager arrested over a Sheffield murder is spending a second day in police custody.

The 17-year-old, who cannot be named for legal reasons, was arrested yesterday over the murder of 35-year-old Marcus Ramsay last month.

Mr Ramsay, a dad-of-two, was knifed during a disturbance during a street party on Horninglow Road, Firth Park, in the early hours of Saturday, August 8.

When police officers and paramedics arrived there was a large group in the street.

Mr Ramsay was taken to hospital but could not be saved and died a short time later.

Another 17-year-old, who cannot be named for legal reasons, was charged with the murder of Mr Ramsay on August 27 and is remanded in custody.

Detectives investigating the death want to hear from those with mobile phone footage of the street party.
