Police raided a man’s home after receiving reports of the smell of cannabis, a court heard.
When officers searched George Walker’s semi-detached property on Coleridge Road, Eastwood, Rotherham, they found a ‘semi-professional’ drug-growing set-up.
Walker, aged 39, claimed he was growing the drug for his personal use.
But Louise Gallagher, prosecuting at Sheffield Crown Court, said: “The crown says there was far too much cannabis for his own use, and it would have found its way into the supply chain.”
Officers found 14 cannabis plants, a bag of cannabis bush, a bag of cut cannabis, and a tin with three bags of cannabis bush inside - all of which had a street value of £12,600.
Walker admitted producing cannabis and was given three months jail suspended for 12 months.
