A 22-year-old man and a 17-year-old boy were arrested on Monday over a shooting on Staniforth Road, Darnall, on Saturday, January 4.
They were held on suspicion of attempted murder after a 28-year-old man was shot during a confrontation with the occupants of two cars which pulled up alongside him.
The victim remains in hospital as he recovers from the shooting.
The suspects have been bailed.
