Stranger grabbed teen and left him with bleed on brain during horrific attack outside Sheffield Walkabout

Police have released CCTV images of a man they would like to speak to after an assault that left the victim needing major surgery.

At around 3am on October 30, the 19-year-old victim was walking up Carver Street towards West Street when he was reportedly grabbed by an unknown man outside Walkabout.

The attacker forced his victim into a headlock, causing him to fall to the ground and hit his head on the pavement.

Investigating Officer Lois Bright said: “The attack left the victim with a bleed on the brain, which required major surgery. He has no memory of what happened that night, or who his attacker was.

“Our enquiries are continuing and we have released a CCTV image of a man we believe might have vital information about what happened that night.

“If you know who he is, or if you witnessed the incident, please call us on 101 quoting incident number 85.”
