Stolen car driver injures person and damages three vehicles in Beighton police chase

Occupants of a stolen car have been arrested after leading police on a chase that saw three other cars damaged and a person injured.

Police received a report of a stolen vehicle in Sheffield at 3.45pm today (Wednesday 15 January).

The vehicle, believed to be a Honda Civic, failed to stop for officers in the Waterthorpe Greenway area and led police in a pursuit up Eckington Way, Beighton.

The Honda was then involved in a collision with three vehicles on Eckington Way, causing damage.

It is reported that the occupants of the Honda then fled the scene.

A number of individuals have been arrested as part of the ongoing investigation.

One member of the public, an occupant of one of the vehicles involved in the collision, is understood to have suffered minor injuries.

South Yorkshire Police says an investigation into this incident is ongoing.
