Stolen bears prompt police appeal

Paddington Bear and Winnie The Pooh are among the stolen items police are searching for after a burglary in Sheffield.

The teddy bears were part of a valuable collection along with items of jewellery and an antique pen knife.

They were reported missing after a burglary in Wainwright Crescent near Woodthorpe on February 3.

A 61-year-old woman returned home at about 11.50pm that night and discovered the break-in at her home, and the items which were missing.

The collectible bears are described as being approximately eight inches tall and in ‘immaculate condition’.

They include a Winnie The Pooh, Paddington Bear and Wind In The Willows collectible.

A unique elephant design adorns the handle of the pen knife, which is also described as having high sentimental value.

Police believe the items were stolen and are asking the public for help in tracking them down.
