A specialist police dog rooted out a dealer in Sheffield city centre yesterday in the latest crackdown on drugs.

With visitors flocking back to Sheffield this weekend for shopping and to socialise in beer gardens after lockdown restrictions were eased, officers mounted a drug crackdown to identify those in the crowds carrying illegal substances.

Police Dog Dibley alerted officers to eight people carrying drugs and a suspected dealer was arrested.
