Special event in Hathersage

Have your say

AN information day is being held in Hathersage for anyone interested in becoming a special constable with Derbyshire Police.

A mobile police station will be in the village next Tuesday from 3pm to 7pm. Community safety inspector Shaun Woodcock said: “These events are to give people the chance to call in and find out more about the role on an informal setting and to speak to current Special Constables about their own experiences,

“Volunteering as a special constable can be very rewarding, and provides the opportunity for people to learn new skills, to work alongside regular officers and help keep our communities safe.”

Specials must be 18 years old, in good health and of good character.
