South Yorkshire thug who beat up two men is spared immediate prison term

A South Yorkshire man who assaulted two other males has escaped an immediate prison term, court records show.

Adam Dutchman appeared before Doncaster Magistrates’ Court on Friday, December 18, where he admitted one count of assault by beating, and one count of assault occasioning actual bodily harm.

The 28-year-old, of Bentham Way, Barnsley, committed the offences in an incident that took place on December 7 this year, court records show.

Magistrates gave Dutchman an 18-week prison sentence, suspended for 12 months for the actual bodily harm charge.

A separate sentence of four weeks in prison, suspended for 12 months, was imposed for the assault by beating charge, but will run at the same time.

Magistrates also ordered Dutchman to complete 80 hours of unpaid work in the community and he must attend appointments with the Probation Service for the next year.

He must also pay a total of £350 in compensation to his victims, along with £85 costs and a £122 victim surcharge.
