South Yorkshire schoolgirls who went missing last week found ‘safe and well’, police confirm

Two Doncaster schoolgirls who went missing last week have been found safe and well.

Savannah and Ruth, both 14 years old, were last seen on Wednesday and reportedly travelled to Scarborough.

North Yorkshire Police then mounted an investigation in the seaside resort following their disappearance.

On Monday, June 13, South Yorkshire Police confirmed that the pair had been found on Sunday.

Police believed the two 14-year-olds may have travelled to Scarborough.

They said: “We're very pleased to report that the missing 14-year-old girls Savannah and Ruth from Doncaster were found safe and well yesterday.”
