South Yorkshire Police name two more men wanted for questioning by officers

Two men wanted by South Yorkshire Police have been named by officers wanting to question them over a number of offences.

Thomas Atkinson, aged 24, is wanted for questioning over a burglary, harassment and two incidents in which members of the public were threatened with a knife.

The offences are reported to have happened between December 2020 and January 2021.

Atkinson, who is known to have links to the Kimberworth area of Rotherham, is thought to be ‘actively evading police’.

He is white and often has a beard and facial hair.

Police officers also want to trace 26-year-old Ashley Walmsley, who is wanted for questioning over a burglary and theft in Hoyland, Barnsley, during January and February 2021.

On New Year’s Day, the Bargain Booze store on King Street was broken into and alcohol and cash were taken in the raid.

On February 12, police received reports of a theft from a property on St Andrews Crescent then on February 18 the Family Shopper store on West Street was broken into.

Walmsley is believed to hold vital information about the incidents.

He is white, around 5ft 8ins tall, slim and has short, blond hair.

He is known to frequent Hoyland and Barnsley town centre.

Anyone with information on the whereabouts of the two wanted men should call South Yorkshire Police on 101.

But if anyone spots Atkinson they are urged to dial 999 immediately to provide his location.
