South Yorkshire Police issue appeal over missing teenage boy not seen for nearly four weeks

A police search has been mounted for a missing teenage boy not seen for nearly four weeks as concern for his welfare mounts.

Officers from South Yorkshire Police are keen to trace 17-year-old Martin Ward, from Swallownest, Rotherham, who was last seen on Thursday, February 25.

He has been spoken to on the phone a number of times since he disappeared but there have been no sightings of him.

When he went missing, Martin was wearing a black puffer jacket, black joggers and black trainers.

Martin is around 5ft 11ins tall and has light brown hair.

South Yorkshire Police said: “Officers involved in the search for Martin are becoming increasingly concerned for his welfare.

“Do you know where Martin is? Have you seen him recently? Do you have information that may help?”

Anyone with information on his whereabouts should call South Yorkshire Police on 101 and quote incident 899 of February 25.
