South Yorkshire police chief to hand out cash grants

South Yorkshire Police and Crime Commissioner Shaun Wright has launched his first grant scheme of 2014.

Grants of between £10,000 and £30,000 are available to provide initiatives in South Yorkshire that will complement and work towards the Commissioner’s key priorities of reducing crime and anti-social behaviour, along with protecting vulnerable and young people.

Last year, grants worth £643,000 were handed out.
