Sheffield Crown Court heard on March 4 how Joshua Cater, 24, of Snowdon Way, Rotherham, committed the two offences between April and September, 2018.

Chris Aspinall, defending, applied to adjourn the case so a pre-sentence report could be prepared by the probation service.

Cater pleaded guilty to intending to cause or incite a child to engage in sexual activity between August and September, 2018.

He pleaded guilty to taking five indecent photos of a child in April of category C which is at the lower-end on the scale for indecent images.

Judge Graham Reeds QC adjourned the case until March 30 but this should not be seen as an indication of the type of sentence Cater will receive.
