Sheffield Magistrates’ Court heard today, August 10, how Carly Trew, aged 30, of Manchester Road, Thurlstone, Barnsley, had been driving on Park Avenue, Penistone, when police asked her to stop.
Mark Hughes, prosecuting, said: “She was seen just after 10pm, on February 3, by officers on mobile patrol on Park Avenue, Penistone, and they saw a Toyota Aygo reversing in the road.”

Trew was requested to provide two evidential specimens of breath at Barnsley custody suite and she indicated she was willing to do so but effectively failed to provide any full specimens.
Mr Hughes said Trew provided only partial specimens with a reading of between 72 and 88 microgrammes of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath and these were inadequate samples.
Trew, who has no previous convictions, pleaded guilty to failing to provide a specimen during an investigation.

Mr Shepherd added Trew had driven a short distance to get headache tablets because it had been raining.
District Judge Naomi Redhouse fined Trew £200 and ordered her to pay £85 costs and a £32 victim surcharge.
She was disqualified from driving for 16 months.
