Sheffield Magistrates’ Court heard on June 24 how Paul Wakefield, aged 51, of Albert Road, Mexborough, had been made subject to a 12-month NMO when he swore at his ex-partner near his home as she was walking her dog.
Chantel Lowry-Green, prosecuting, said Wakefield’s ex had been near Victoria Road adjacent to Albert Road when Wakefield swore at her.

Hide AdWakefield was found guilty of breaching the NMO after a previous trial held in his absence and he admitted failing to attend court.
Zawar Shah, defending, said Wakefield had been diagnosed with an irregular heartbeat and had felt too ill to attend the trial but he failed to inform the court.
Wakefield was sentenced to one day of custody, deemed served by time spent on remand. He was given a six-month conditional discharge and a six-month restraining order.
