Sheffield Magistrates’ Court – sitting at the Sheffield Crown Court building – heard on April 15 how Martin Kipling, aged 46, of Gerald Road, Kendray, Barnsley, stayed with his estranged wife and allegedly became abusive and argumentative in the morning.

South Yorkshire Police stated his wife claimed Kipling had become argumentative and abusive and allegedly tried to tip her out of bed so she called police and Kipling allegedly remained outside banging doors and windows.

Kipling, who admitted breaching the order on April 14, told police he was sorry for attending the address and said he loved his wife.

Kevin Ripley, defending, said Kipling visited the property to collect possessions and was invited to stay but an argument ensued.

District Judge Naomi Redhouse fined Kipling £100 but this penalty was deemed served by the time Kipling spent in custody awaiting his hearing.
