South Yorkshire man accused of two rapes and four sexual assaults

South Yorkshire Police confirmed Allan Hunter, 48, of Shelley Drive, Herringthorpe, Rotherham, has been charged with two counts of rape and four counts of sexual assault.
Mr Hunter’s case was initially considered at Sheffield Magistrates’ Court today, Thursday, July 9, but the matters are so serious the case has had to be committed to Sheffield Crown Court.

Hide AdThe defendant faces six charges relating to allegations of offences allegedly committed during an incident on Tuesday, July 7, in Rotherham.
They include two counts of rape, three sexual assaults by penetration and a fourth sexual assault by touching.
The case was adjourned and committed to Sheffield Crown Court for a plea, trial and preparation hearing on August 6.
Mr Hunter has been remanded in custody.
