A police probe is underway into a shooting on a Sheffield estate, which detectives are linking to petrol bomb attacks in the area.
Officers were called after reports of shots being fired outside a property on Deerlands Avenue, Parson Cross, on Saturday night.
Nobody was injured during the incident, but police sealed off the area where the gun was reported to have been fired while forensic examinations were carried out.
They arrested two men, aged 19 and 25, on suspicion of possession of a firearm with intent to endanger life.
The men have been released on police bail until next month pending further inquiries.
A South Yorkshire Police spokeswoman said: “No one was injured during the shooting, which police believe to have been a targeted attack and linked to previous arson incidents in the same area.
“Police have also seized a car in connection with the incident. The investigation is continuing.”
Anyone with information should call police on 101 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555111.
