The incident took place in and around Southey Avenue, Southey at around 10.30pm last night.
A spokesman for South Yorkshire Fire and Rescue said firefighers from Elm Lane station were called out to assist the police, and said the driver ploughed into two cars and a van as he attempted to evade being arrested by South Yorkshire Police.
“Thankfully, all of the vehicles were stationary when he crashed into them so nobody was hurt,” the spokesman added.
