Shocked residents woken by sound of huge explosion at Sheffield petrol station
Residents in a Sheffield suburb were woken by the sound of a huge explosion at a petrol station overnight.
The explosion at Woodhouse Mill petrol station could be heard up to two miles away, according to some residents.
The garage is sealed off this morning and under police guard.


Details have not yet been released by South Yorkshire Police but the area of the garage damaged in the blast is where the cash machine is located.
One of the petrol pumps was also damaged.
