Sheffield woman’s horror as man kicked down door to cannabis farm near her home

Police were called to Woodseats Road at 4.38am yesterday after a man was seen attempting to gain access to a property on the street by kicking the front door.

When officers arrived and searched the house they found more than 200 cannabis plants inside.

A neighbour, who did not want to give her name, told The Star: "It was a guy with a hood that was kicking the door in. I thought he was breaking into my house so it was a bit scary.

“I saw a guy with a hood then I saw him disappear up the road.”

She added: “I had never spoke to them [the neighbours] before, I have only been here since May/June.”

Another neighbour told The Star she had also never met the occupants of the house, which remained under police guard on Wednesday morning.
