Sheffield woman charged with murder after 55-year-old was stabbed to death

Kerry Taylor, 41, of Ravenscroft Place has been charged with murder in connection to a woman who died after she was stabbed last weekend.

South Yorkshire Police were called to Ravenscroft Place at around 10.30pm on Saturday, 4 July following reports that a woman had been stabbed.

When officers arrived at the scene they discovered a 55-year-old woman inside a property with serious injuries.

The woman was taken to hospital but was pronounced dead shortly afterwards and a post-mortem confirmed she died of stab wounds.

Taylor, who is remanded in police custody, will appear before Sheffield Magistrates’ Court tomorrow, Tuesday, 7 July.A 36-year-old man arrested on suspicion of murder has been released under investigation.
