Sheffield United launch Oli McBurnie investigation after ‘street bust-up’ video emerges online

Sheffield United have launched an investigation after a video which allegedly shows Oli McBurnie involved in an altercation was posted online.

The video, which was posted on Twitter, appeared to show the Blades striker arguing with someone filming him in the street.

The phone is then dropped and stamped on before a fight appears to break out between at least two people.

The circumstances of the apparent altercation are unclear but the account claims one of the people involved is McBurnie.

A club spokesperson said: “Officials at Sheffield United are aware of the video circulating on social media and are currently investigating.”

The Scotland international has made 65 appearances in all competitions this season but is currently out injured.

He joined the Blades from Swansea in 2019, scoring nine times in his first season.
