A Sheffield man who was involved in nine burglaries has been jailed for 33 months.
Karl Birley, aged 19, of Wainwright Avenue, Stradbroke, pleaded guilty at Sheffield Crown Court to two burglaries. A further seven were also taken into consideration.
They included a break-in at a property in Wainwright Crescent, where several sentimental items of jewellery and teddy bears were stolen which have never been recovered.
PC Ryan Griffiths said: “We are committed to investigating burglary offences and hope this sentence demonstrates the serious consequences of breaking into someone’s home.
“We continue to appeal to anyone who has been approached by someone selling stolen property to call 101 so we can return items to the owners.”
