Sheffield street woken by ‘loud explosion’ after car set on fire in arson attack

Firefighters were filmed dealing with a car torched in an arson attack in a Sheffield street this morning.

They were called to Smithy Wood Road, Woodseats, at 3.40am and found a black Kia Sportage engulfed in flames.

POLICE: Men charged over New Year's Eve stabbing in Sheffield

The vehicle has been removed for examination.
