Sheffield street taped off this morning after 'serious police incident'

A Sheffield street has been cordoned off following a serious police incident on Saturday morning.

The incident, which is reported to have been a shooting, took place on Warren Lane in Chapeltown.

Based on a picture sent to The Star, a police car is seen on the taped off street as the force is believed to be carrying out enquiries into the incident.

South Yorkshire Police has yet to comment on the incident but we will bring you their statement as soon as we have it.
