Sheffield shooting LIVE: Updates as police set up cordon and close road
A police cordon is in place on a Sheffield estate this morning after reports of another shooting in the area last night.
Errington Avenue in Arbourthorne has been sealed off since Tuesday evening, with residents claiming to have heard gunfire.
There have been a multiple shootings in and around Arbourthorne in recent months, including one in which a 12-year-old boy was injured. Following that shooting police began a major crackdown on organised crime in the area.

Some local residents say they no longer feel safe living on the city estate.
One woman, who does not wish to be named, said: “We are all worried.
“We can’t even feel safe in our own homes anymore.
“You don’t know what to do because you’re not safe outside with this Covid-19 but you’re no safer in your homes.
“What are we residents of Arbourthorne meant to do?”
'Increased police presence’ on Sheffield estate after guns fired on TWO streets
An investigation has been launched after gunshots were reportedly fired on two streets in the Arbourthorne area of Sheffield last night.
A spokesperson for South Yorkshire Police said: “Police were called to Errington Avenue shortly before 9.45pm after reports of a firearms discharge.
“A short time later, at 9.53pm, a call was received reporting that shots had been fired on Aylward Road in Sheffield.
“Police are treating the two incidents as linked. There will be an increased police presence in the area today as enquiries continue. Anyone with concerns is encouraged to speak to our officers in the community or call 101.”
‘Drug use and supply is a key issue’ in Arbourthorne
Last month police said drug use and supply 'is a key issue' to tackle in Arbourthorne as part of their efforts to clamp down on organised crime there.
Sergeant Tom Hollands said: “Drug use and supply is a key issue for our team and we know it’s something people living in Arbourthorne want us to deal with.
“We’ve been working extremely hard over the last few months to take robust action and this has resulted in six warrants being carried out in the area, with four arrests being made on suspicion of a range of offences."
