Sheffield pervert caught with porn showing 'oral sex with family dog'

Sheffield Magistrates’ Court heard on February 27 how Stephen Robert Chandler, 62, of Cranford Drive, Owlthorpe, Sheffield, admitted possessing an extreme pornographic image and to publishing extreme pornographic images involving an animal.

Mary Rose Macadam, defending, told the court the animal concerned belongs to another family member.

She added: “It’s strange. I do not see the basis to say the dog has suffered without putting yourself in the mind of a dog.

“The dog has not shown any ill-effect or distaste of Mr Chandler when he’s met him again.”

Chandler, who is of previous good character, pleaded guilty to possessing an extreme pornographc image in June, 2018, portraying a person performing oral sex with a Lhasa Apso dog which was grossly offensive. He also pleaded guilty to publishing extreme pornographic images portraying an act of intercourse with an animal.

Susan Fisher, prosecuting, said: “Officers spoke to the RSPCA and they were aware of what happened and chose not to take any further action.”

District Judge Leong told Chandler: “I am disappointed. At 62 you have chosen to come to court and ruin your good name and be convicted upon guilty pleas of offences which are deviant.”

Chandler was sentenced to an 18-month community order with a Rehabilitation Activity Requirement and 40 hours of unpaid work.

He was also fined £150 and must pay £85 costs and an £85 victim surcharge.

Chandler said: “My apologies for having been here today. I have been a fool.”
