Two pensioners were taken to hospital with stab wounds after a ‘domestic incident,’ police in Sheffield have revealed.

The man and woman, both aged in their 70s, were found hurt in their home on Southey Crescent, Longley, at 6.25am on Saturday, October 25.

Thomas Keeley, 32, of Southey Crescent, has been charged with causing grievous bodily harm with intent and actual bodily harm.

Police said the injured man was released from hospital over the weekend but the woman remains on a ward, in a ‘serious but not life threatening’ condition.

Officers sealed off the house where the attack took place.
