Sheffield murder investigation ongoing after arrests of man and woman over fatal stabbing

Detectives are continuing to work around the clock on the murder of a young man stabbed to death in his own home.

He was pronounced dead at the scene and a murder probe was launched.

A 25-year-old Sheffield man was arrested on Tuesday on suspicion of murder and spent yesterday in police custody.

Police arrested a 21-year-old Sheffield woman on suspicion of assisting an offender yesterday and she also spent the day in custody.

Police patrols have been stepped up in Woodthorpe in the wake of the fatal stabbing.
