Sheffield men set to face murder charge at crown court

Two men charged with the murder of 53-year-old Paul Crossley are set to appear at Sheffield Crown Court.

Sean Holt, 43, of Longley Hall Way, and Richard Ferrie, 44, also of Longley Hall Way, appeared at Sheffield Magistrates' Court on May 22.

They were both remanded to custody to appear at the crown court on Tuesday, May 26.

Mr Crossley died after he suffered a serious head injury during an altercation between a group of men on Longley Hall Way, Longley, between 9pm and 10pm on Friday, May 15.

He was taken to hospital in Sheffield but passed away due to the injuries on May 19.

Police want to witnesses who were in the area between 8pm and 11pm on 15 May, or anyone who knows anything about the events leading up to the attack.
