Sheffield man stands accused of taking two children against their will

A man accused of two counts of taking two young girls against their will has had his case further adjourned to consider his fitness to plead.

Sheffield Crown Court heard yesterday, Monday, March 16, how Timothy James Guest, aged 23, of Arbourthorne Road, is accused of taking two youngsters in Sheffield against their will on different dates.

Mr Guest originally appeared at Sheffield Magistrates’ Court charged with unlawfully and by force or fraud attempting to take or carry away one youngster from December 16 and to attempting to take or carry away unlawfully and by force or fraud a further youngster from February 13.

The case was considered on Monday, March 16, and adjourned until tomorrow, Wednesday, March 18, to consider the defendant’s fitness to plead prior to any potential trial from August 4.

Mr Guest was remanded in custody until his next court hearing.
