A Sheffield man stabbed to death has been described as a 'lovely lad’ in floral tributes from friends and family.

Jordan Marples-Douglas, aged 23, was stabbed in a property in Woodthorpe Road, Woodthorpe, on Friday, March 6.

Paramedics were alerted to the stabbing but Jordan could not be saved and was pronounced dead at the scene.

A police murder probe was launched and the house was immediately sealed off as officers preserved the crime scene and started to gain further understanding surrounding the knife attack.

No arrests have yet been made.

In floral messages left at the scene he was described as a 'lovely lad'. One of the other messages said: "RIP Jordan, You are forever in our thoughts. Taken way too soon, Jordan. Gone but never forgotten. Love Sam and Gaz."

Another, said: "You will be massively missed, Brother. Rest peacefully, Crowny and family."

One more, said "God Bless, RIP Jordan. Thinking of all your family xxx, with love, Tracey, Robert and family."

The floral messages are joined by stream of online tributes from those who knew Jordan. In a Facebook post, Charlotte Amy stated that he was 'loved by so many'.

She said: "Such a sweet boy, his heart was always in the right place. He's loved by so many and will be missed."
