Sheffield Magistrates’ Court heard on September 30 how Tyrone Jordan Jackson, aged 28, of Gregg House Crescent, Shiregreen, Sheffield, failed to report to authorities he had been living at a property with youngsters aged under 18-years-old and he failed to notify police he had been living at this address for more than seven days.

Chantel Lowery-Green, prosecuting, said there was a convction from 2013 which led to Jackson being subject to notification requirements.

She added both breaches arose after Jackson revealed he was in a relationship but he did not fulfil notification requirements because he was concerned social services would become involved.

Jackson pleaded guilty to failing to comply with notification requirements by failing to inform authorities he was staying at a household in Rotherham with others aged under 18 and he admitted failing to notify police of an address where he was residing for seven days or more from February.

Pari Seeley, defending, said it was a deliberate failure but there was no harm caused because the woman involved was aware of his conviction.

Ms Seeley added the relationship has ended and Jackson is living with his mother.

Jackson is subject to a Sexual Harm Prevention Order and will be monitored, according to Ms Seeley.

Magistrates sentenced Jackson to 16 weeks of custody suspended for 12 months with a Rehablitation Activity Requirement. He must pay £85 costs and a £128 victim surcharge.
