Levi Grossett, 35, appeared at Sheffield Magistrates’ Court yesterday (Tuesday, September 22) where he was sentenced to six months in prison.

Grossett, of Southey Green, was convicted of two offences – shoplifting on Southey Green Road and damaging a police car on Kyle Close – both of which took place earlier this year.

A police spokesperson said: “Grossett was arrested on Monday this week by the Parson Cross team who acted quickly following a sighting to get him back in custody, charged and put before the courts and he is now back in prison.

“We hope that knowing Grossett is now off the streets will provide some reassurance to local businesses who were affected by his repeated offending. We will not tolerate this kind of persistent criminality within our community and will target those who act in this way.”
