Sheffield man injured in Ecclesall Road attack remains in hospital fighting for life

A man critically injured in an attack on Ecclesall Road in Sheffield remains in hospital today.

Tyson Mahmood, aged 36, was left fighting for life after the attack on Saturday, September 19 and airlifted to hospital.

Louis Ward, 27, of Broomfield Road, Broomhall, Sheffield, has been charged with assault over the incident.

Another 27-year-old man and a 31-year-old woman, both arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender, were released from custody while enquiries continue.
