Sheffield man fined for smashing car windscreen during dispute with ex-partner
A man has been fined after he smashed a car windscreen during a dispute with his ex-partner.
Sheffield Magistrates’ Court recently heard how Mark Sully, aged 33, of Stubbin Lane, Firth Park, admitted causing damage to the car which belonged to a friend of his former partner.
Mark Hughes, prosecuting, told a previous hearing his ex-partner’s friend had gone to Sully’s current girlfriend’s address where a “commotion” developed between Sully’s ex and his current partner.
Mr Hughes said the defendant’s ex-partner got into her friend’s car before Sully jumped on the bonnet and landed two-footed on the windscreen.
Sully pleaded guilty to causing damage after the incident on September 23 and admitted failing to surrender to court on October 8.
Yvonne Wragg, defending, stated Sully has mental health issues.
Sully was sentenced on January 21 to a 12-month community order with a rehabilitation requirement. He was fined £100 and must pay £150 compensation.
