Sheffield Magistrates’ Court heard how Ricky Browne, aged 28, of Southey Green Road, visited his ex-partner to collect possessions and over-stayed which breached a DVPO to stay away.

Cheryl Topham, representing South Yorkshire Police, told the hearing held in the Sheffield Crown Court building that he visited the property and over-stayed and was asked to leave and he made contact with texts.

District Judge Grace Leong confirmed Browne had visited the property on March 27 and she would deal with him for that matter alone.

Browne admitted the breach after he had presented himself at a police station hours before the DVPO was to expire this month and he confirmed there was an outstanding breach.

David Lawson, defending, said Browne had been invited to collect his belongings but over-stayed his welcome.

District Judge Leong fined Browne £100.
