Hide AdRebecca Tanner, for Gibson, said he has “potential, but has made countless errors in his young life. It's clear he is susceptible to exploitation. He didn't know that his accomplice had brought a knife."
Judge Graham Reeds QC sentenced him to 18 months in a young offenders' institution.
But he rejected an application for a criminal behaviour order, banning Gibson entering garages and yards in the S5 postcode, without permission. He said "S5 Kingdom" may be a reference to a gang, but without more information from the police he was unable to impose the order.
