Sheffield man arrested over mass disturbance

A Sheffield man was arrested during a mass disturbance during which a car and house were damaged.

The 18-year-old was quizzed by police after officers were called to Hazelby Road, Creswell, North Derbyshire, following reports that a number of men had threatened residents.

A car window was damaged and a house was also attacked during the incident last Saturday.

A Derbyshire Police spokeswoman said: “Police were called to Hazelby Road, Creswell, following reports of property being damaged and people threatened.

“An 18-year-old man from Sheffield was arrested the next day on suspicion of violent disorder and has been released on police bail while further inquiries are made.”
