Sheffield man appears at court in connection with the suspected shooting of a boy

A 26-year-old man has appeared at Sheffield Crown Court charged in connection with a suspected shooting which left a 12-year-old boy seriously injured.

Brandon Bailey, of Manor Park Way, Sheffield, is charged with possessing a firearm, possessing ammunition and possessing criminal property.

He appeared at court on March 13 and was remanded in custody to reappear at court on a date to be fixed.

Bailey is the third man charged in connection with the suspected shooting on January 12.

Devon Gregory, 23, of Heeley Green, Heeley, Sheffield, and Stephen Dunford, 25, of Fellbrigg Road in Sheffield, have previously been charged with attempted murder and possessing a firearm.

The 12-year-old was found with a gunshot wound to his leg after emergency services were called to Northern Avenue, at Arbourthorne, Sheffield, at 3.45pm, on January 12.
