Sheffield man accused of murdering his brother Kamran Khan due to face trial

A man who has been charged with the murder of his brother Kamran Khan is expected to face a trial in the summer.

Sheffield Crown Court heard today, Friday, November 20, how Thamraze Khan, aged 30, of Club Garden Road, Highfield, Sheffield, is accused of murdering 28-year-old Kamran Khan.

Police had been called to a property on Club Garden Road, near Sharrow, in the city, at 2.15am on Sunday, November 15, where Kamran Khan was found with serious injuries.

Kamran Khan was taken to hospital but was later pronounced dead. A post-mortem examination revealed he died as a result of a stab wound to the chest.

The court heard that the deceased Kamran Khan is the brother of the accused Thamraze Khan.

Judge Jeremy Richardson QC set a provisional date of June 21 for a trial but explained it has to be a provisional date due to possible issues with managing cases during the Covid-19 pandemic.
